Customer blames Denny's for injuries

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing Denny's, alleging the defendant's negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff. 

Paula M. Lee filed a lawsuit Jan. 4 in Harris County District Court against Denny's Inc., alleging failure to maintain a safe premises.

According to the complaint, on May 4, 2015, Lee was entering Denny's restaurant, 13031 FM 160 W., Houston, when she tripped and fell on the rug in the entrance way. The suit says Lee suffered injuries that required hospitalization and medical treatment. 

The plaintiff alleges Denny's failed to exercise ordinary care to protect her from harm and failed to warn her of the existence of a dangerous condition.

Lee seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $100,000 and $1 million, and all other equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Don Philips of The Philips Law Firm in Houston.
