HOUSTON — A Harris County mother is suing Southlake Urban Air LLC d/b/a Urban Air Trampoline Park, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Jessica Loya, as next friend of Kimora Loya, a minor, filed a complaint on Jan. 11 in the Harris County District Court against Southlake Urban Air LLC d/b/a Urban Air Trampoline Park, alleging that the premises operator breached its duty to exercise ordinary care to ensure that the premises did not present any danger.
According to the complaint, Loya alleges that on Oct. 8, she was jumping on a trampoline on the defendant's premises when she fell and broke her ankle. She sustained serious injuries that required immediate surgery that resulted in pain and mental anguish, disfigurement and medical expenses. She holds Southlake Urban Air responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a safe equipment and failed to properly train and supervise its employees.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of over $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other relief she may show herself justly entitled. She is represented by Sean A. Roberts, R. Clive Markland and Anjali Sharma of Roberts Markland LLP in Houston.
