HOUSTON — A Texas couple is suing a Buick dealer and contractors, alleging their negligence led to injuries to the husband.

Johnathan Johnson and Ashley Lee Johnson filed a lawsuit Jan. 23 in Harris County District Court against Beck & Masten Buick Inc., Beck & Masten Gulf Freeway, Comanche Contractors LP, et al, alleging Beck & Masten breached its duty to exercise reasonable care to provide a safe environment.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 5, 2015, Johnathan Johnson was performing electrical work when he was injured as a result of electric shock and a fall of more than 20 feet at the Beck & Masten showroom on Gulf Freeway in Houston. The suit says Ashley Johnson suffered loss of consortium, affection and assistance of her husband.

The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to warn Johnathan Johnson of the existence of the dangerous condition and failed to provide adequate training and supervision to their employees.

The Johnsons seek trial by jury, actual and exemplary damages, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and all other equitable relief. They are represented by attorney David W. Showalter of Showalter Law Firm in Richmond.
