SHERMAN — A Dallas County vocational nurse is suing her former employer, alleging violation of workers compensation acts in failing to pay proper overtime.

Katrina Davis filed a complaint Jan. 31 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Rambling Oaks Courtyard ECC Highland Village LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, between March 2014 and August 2015, Davis regularly worked in excess of 40 hours per work week as a licensed vocational nurse without receiving proper overtime compensation.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to pay one and one-half times her regular rate of pay for each overtime hour worked as required by FLSA.

Davis seeks trial by jury, all unpaid overtime compensations, attorney fees and court costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other proper and equitable relief. She is represented by attorney David G. Langenfeld of Leichter Law Firm in Austin.
