HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston company, alleging deceptive trade practices.

Lily Taylor filed a complaint Feb. 8 in the Harris County District Court against Harold Higgins, doing business as Innovative Home Solutions and Innovative Solutions Enterprise, alleging they said they had assisted a number of consumers to remain in their foreclosed homes.

According to the complaint, as a result of the defendants' failure to perform services as promised, Taylor lost her home. The plaintiff alleges the defendants misrepresented that they could lower her payments and that they would provide legal services to assist Taylor in avoiding displacement with no additional costs.

Taylor seeks trial by jury, award for rescission and restitution or damages, attorney fees and court costs and all other further relief. She is represented by attorney Richard Tomlinson of Lone Star Legal Aid in Houston.
