HOUSTON — A Houston woman is suing a Pasadena health care provider, alleging its negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Herlinda Jaime filed a complaint March 8 in Harris County District Court against PHCC Paramount Rehabilitation & Health Care Co. LLC, alleging failure to provide a safe work environment.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 10, 2015, in the course and scope of her employment at PHHC Paramount, Jaime was injured when a fellow employee opened a door striking Jaime, causing her to fall forward.

The suit says Jaime has experienced pain and suffering, medical expenses, loss of earnings and disfigurement. The plaintiff alleges PHCC Paramount Rehabilitation & Health Care failed to properly train and supervise its employees and failed to provide proper tools and equipment.

Jaime seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000, plus all other legal and equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Puertin Burritt and Marco Gonzalez of The Gonzalez Law Group PLLC in Houston.
