Former employee alleges company failed to pay overtime

HOUSTON — A former employee has filed a class action lawsuit against a company, alleging violation of workers compensation acts.

Sebastian Bradford filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint March 23 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Magic of Texas Inc. and Jonathan C. Roberts, alleging they willfully violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Bradford worked more than 40 hours per week providing valet and shuttle service without being paid the time-and-a-half his regular rate for all hours worked more than 40 in a week as required by FLSA. 

Bradford seeks trial by jury, unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, plus interest, attorney fees, court costs and all equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Josef F. Buenker of The Buenker Law Firm in Houston.
