HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing his former employer, alleging age discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Anthony Jones filed a complaint March 24 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Cemex Inc., alleging failure to comply with the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

According to the complaint, as a result of the defendant's unlawful employment practices, Jones has been damaged after being abruptly terminated from his employment as a supervisor and driver March 31, 2015.

The plaintiff alleges Cemex retaliated against him by engaging in a pattern of harassment, depriving him of hours and shifts and terminating his employment for filing a complaint of discrimination.

Jones seeks trial by jury, all damages, interest, attorney fees, costs of court and all other equitable relief. He is represented by attorneys Alfonso Kennard and Ronald Dupree of Kennard Richard PC in Houston.
