GALVESTON — An electrical contractor is suing a Texas City customer, alleging breach of an oral agreement.
Legg Industries Inc., doing business as Competitive Electric, filed a complaint April 3 in Galveston County District Court against Kevin and April Baucom, doing business as Precision Machine, alleging they failed to adhere to the terms of the contract and owe more than $11,000.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 7, 2015, Competitive Electric entered into an oral agreement to perform electrical services for Precision Machine. The suit says the plaintiff fully performed its duties under the contract, but the balance amount of $11,630.77 remains unpaid.
The plaintiff alleges Precision Machine has failed and refuses to fully pay for work performed by the plaintiff.
Competitive Electric seeks trial by jury, actual damages, plus interest, attorney fees of at least $5,000, court costs and all legal and equitable relief. It is represented by attorneys Darrell A. Apfell, Lauren F. Arisco and D. Blake Apffel of Apffel Legal PLLC in League City.
