HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing two Dallas companies, alleging their negligence led to injuries.

Juan J. Martinez filed a complaint April 5 in Harris County District Court against Cardinal Logistics Management Corp. and Greatwide Logistics Services LLC, alleging failure to provide a reasonably safe work environment.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 7, 2016, Martinez was employed by defendants to repair pallets at their property in Houston. As he was working in the warehouse, the suit says, Martinez was seriously injured when he pulled a stack of pallets toward him to repair.

The lawsuit states Martinez has experienced pain and suffering, medical expenses and physical impairment. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide adequate training, supervision and safety equipment for the job.

Martinez seeks trial by jury, actual and special damages between $100,000 and $200,000, plus interest, costs of court and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorneys Matias J. Adrogue and Leila M. El-Hakam of Houston.
