GALVESTON — A disabled man from Chambers County is suing a water conservation business, alleging disability discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

Eduardo Moreno of Winnie filed a complaint May 1 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Trinity Bay Conservation and District Industrial Development Corporation, alleging violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, Moreno has suffered and will continue to suffer lost wages and employment benefits, pain and suffering, mental anxiety and emotional distress after being terminated by the defendants July 24, 2015. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to accommodate his disability, a severely twisted knee, retaliated against him and terminated his employment as a response to his requests for reasonable accommodation.

Moreno seeks trial by jury, actual and compensatory damages, reinstatement or front pay, legal interest, costs of court and all other relief. He is represented by attorney Marjorie A. Murphy of The Murphy Law Practice PLLC in Houston.
