GALVESTON — A Galveston County woman is suing Dickinson, alleging negligence led to her injuries.

Gilda Taylor filed a complaint April 26 in Galveston County District Court against the city of Dickinson, alleging the municipality's employee failed to control his vehicle.

According to the complaint, on April 26, 2015, Taylor was injured on the 8500 block of the Gulf Freeway feeder when Dickinson employee Daniel Banda Jr. backed up his vehicle and struck the defendant while she was walking. The suit says Taylor suffered personal injuries, physical impairment and damages.

The plaintiff alleges Banda failed to keep a proper lookout while operating his vehicle.

Taylor seeks more than $100,000 in damages, court costs, pre- and post-judgment interest, and all general and special relief. She is represented by attorney Christopher R. Soileau of The Soileau Law Firm, P.C. in Deer Park.
