Passenger blames transport service company for causing crash

Car accident 26

BEAUMONT — A Port Arthur woman is suing a transport service company, alleging its negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Roschun Grigley filed a complaint May 1 in Jefferson County District Court against East Texas Support Services Inc., alleging the defendant's driver failed to maintain proper control of defendant's vehicle.

According to the complaint, on July 8, 2015, Grigley was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Alfred Vegia at Gulfway Drive and Savannah Avenue when, without warning, their vehicle was struck from behind by an East Texas Support vehicle, being driven by the defendant's employee.

Grigley says she suffered impairment, physical and mental pain, lost wages and medical expenses. She alleges the defendant's employee failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to timely stop or swerve to avoid a collision.

Grigley seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000 and all other legal and equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Scott Wert of The Buckley Law Group in Houston.
