Customer blames Walgreens for injuries

Slip02

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing Walgreens, alleging negligence led to her suffering injuries.

Bianca Asteris filed a complaint May 15 in Harris County District Court against Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy LLC, alleging failure to inspect its premises and maintain the store in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on June 11, 2016, Asteris was shopping at a Walgreens, 14625 FM 529 Houston, when she slipped and fell on a slick substance on the floor. The suit says Asteris was seriously injured, which resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering and loss of earning capacity.

The plaintiff alleges Walgreens negligently allowed the existence of a dangerous condition in the store and failed to warn Asteris of the existence of such a condition.

Asteris seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, plus interest, costs of court and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorneys John Arthur Daspit and Corey Kronzer of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
