HOUSTON — A customer is suing a Houston massage business, alleging the defendants' negligence led to injuries.

Brooke Medina filed a complaint May 17 in Harris County District Court against Muscle Release by Jonah and Dina LLC and Jonah Brooks, alleging they failed to perform a massage in a safe manner.

According to the complaint, on March 19, 2016, Medina suffered separation of muscle tissue in her lower back and buttocks, aggravating injuries and damages from a previous surgical procedure. Medina said she incurred medical expenses, physical pain, mental anguish and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants negligently applied extreme pressure using a metal bar instrument directly on her surgical area.

Medina seeks trial by jury, monetary relief of more than $100,000, judgment, jointly and severally, plus interest, costs of court and all other equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Michael S. Tilton and John A. Caston of Tilton & Tilton LLP in Houston.
