BEAUMONT — A Galveston County customer is suing a Ford truck dealer, alleging deceptive trade practices.

Bobby Larraine filed a complaint May 10 in Jefferson County District Court against Kinsel Ford Inc., alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, as a result of Kinsel Ford's wrongful conduct, Larraine suffered economic damages, mental anguish and and expenses for trying to fix a defective 2006 F250 truck purchased from the defendant in 2011. The plaintiff alleges Kinsel Ford intentionally made false and misleading representations about the condition of the F250 truck.

The plaintiff seeks a jury trial, monetary damages between $100,000 and $200,000, plus interest, attorney fees, costs of court and all other relief to which plaintiff is entitled. He is represented by attorneys Myles Lenz and David Bernsen of The Bernsen Law Firm in Beaumont.
