HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing Ford, alleging breach of express and implied warranties.

Bonnie Irene Stevens filed a complaint May 18 in Harris County District Court against Joe Myers Ford II LLC d/b/a Joe Myers Ford Lincoln and Ford Motor Company, violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 30, 2014, Stevens purchased a 2014 Ford Focus for personal use. When delivered, the suit says, the Ford was defective in materials and workmanship.

The plaintiff says she was damaged for the purchase price, repair expenses and loss of use of the vehicle. She alleges the defendants failed to repair the vehicle in a good and workmanlike manner so as to bring it into conformity with its warranties and failed to honor the terms of the warranty.

Stevens seeks trial by jury, revocation of acceptance and refund of the plaintiff's purchase price, damages, attorney fees, court costs and all other equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Atousa Nezamabadi of Lemon Law Group Partners PLC in Sugar Land.
