HOUSTON — A bowler is suing a Harris County entertainment center, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.
Robert Goalwin Sr. filed a complaint May 30 in Harris County District Court against Main Event Entertainment LP, alleging the defendant breached its duty to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 22, 2016, Goalwin, who was bowling, was severely injured when he slipped and fell on the overly waxed bowling lane. Goalwin says he suffered physical pain, mental anguish, disfigurement and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Main Event Entertainment failed to provide adequate warnings that the floor was slippery.
Goalwin seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, all damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorneys Loren G. Klitsas and Jared W. Capps of Klitsas & Vercher PC in Houston.
