HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a skin care provider, alleging its negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Nicole Denise Ferril filed a complaint June 12 in Harris County District Court against Nigro Dermatology Group PA, alleging negligently failing to perform preoperative care, laser hair removal procedure and postoperative care.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 10, 2016, Nigro Dermatology performed laser hair removal on Ferril's chin, resulting in burns, scarring and discoloration on her face. Ferril says she experienced pain and suffering, mental anguish and embarrassment.

The plaintiff alleges Nigro Dermatology failed to inform her of the risk of the procedure and failed to provide informed consent before doing it.

Ferril seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and all other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Nick Oweysii and Jenisfer O. Stogner of The Owesii Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
