HOUSTON — A Harris County apartment tenant is suing property operators, alleging their negligence caused injuries to the plaintiff.

Abdoulaye Keyanfe filed a complaint June 13 in Harris County District Court against CWS Capital Partners LLC and CWS Apartment Homes LLC, alleging they negligently created an unreasonable risk of harm to their apartment residents at 5303 S. Mason Road, Katy.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 18, 2016, Keyanfe had his door kicked in, which struck him in the face and knocked him to the ground. Kehanfe says he sustained pain and suffering, mental anguish, lost earnings, disfigurement and medical care expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to remedy or correct the unsafe condition and/or to warn apartment residents of such a danger.

Keyanfe seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000 and all other just and lawful relief. He is represented by attorneys Kraig L. Rushing and Ben Bronston of Bronston Legal PC in Houston.
