SHERMAN – A Denton County woman alleges that her former Lewisville employer discriminated against her because of her pregnancy.

Stephanie Reeves filed a complaint on July 7 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Redneck Heaven Venture One LLC alleging that the restaurant operator violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was hired by the defendant in 2012 and put her in two weeks' notice in February 2014 due to a hostile work environment with a manager. The suit states a new manager refused to accept her resignation and she remained employed. In March 2014, the suit states she informed her manager she was pregnant and was later terminated on March 22, 2014.

The plaintiff holds Redneck Heaven Venture One LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly discriminated her in the terms, conditions and privileges of employment and harassed her.

The plaintiff seeks all damages, attorney’s fees, costs and such additional relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by John E. Wall Jr. and Kolter McKenzie of Law Offices of John E. Wall Jr. in Dallas.
