Beaumont Walmart shopper alleges she was injured when she slipped on water in store

Slip01

BEAUMONT – A Walmart shopper alleges that she was injured in a store because of water left on the floor.

Lindzey McDonald filed a complaint on July 7 in the Jefferson County District Court against Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC alleging that the retail store operator breached its duty to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 30, 2015, she was a business invitee at defendant's Beaumont Walmart store when she sustained injuries and damages when she slipped and fell on a puddle of water on the floor.

The plaintiff holds Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to exercise ordinary care to eliminate the risk or warn invitees regarding a dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but not more than $200,000 and all further relief to which she is justly entitled. She is represented by Jonathan C. Juhan and J.J. Bragg of Jonathan C. Juhan Attorney at Law in Beaumont.
