FALL LINE PATENTS, LLC V. UBER TECHNOLOGIES, INC. 6:17-cv-00408-RWS
Oklahoma-based Fall Line is the plaintiff.
It has pursued legal action in response to alleged infringement of United States Patent Number 9,454,748.
Recent court documents show that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued the ‘748 patent, entitled “System and Method for Data Management,” on Sept. 27, 2016.
The subject patent purportedly “teaches methods for managing and collecting data from a remote computing device.”
“Specifically, the invention addresses the need to collect location-specific information on a variety of hardware and software platforms without the need to create separate and individualized software for each of the numerous manufacturers of remote computing devices,” the complaints state.
Fall Line seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
Attorney Matthew J. Antonelli of the law firm Antonelli, Harrington & Thompson LLP in Houston serves as the complainant’s lead counsel.
