SHERMAN – A former employee of a loyalty and marketing services corporation alleges that she is owed unpaid overtime.
Melody Argunmati filed a complaint on July 27 in the Sherman/Plano District of the Eastern District of Texas against Alliance Data Systems Inc. alleging that the employer violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she regularly worked in excess of 40 hours a week for the defendant as a senior sales and tax analyst without receiving proper overtime compensation.
The plaintiff holds Alliance Data Systems Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay her overtime compensation at the legal overtime rates for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.
The plaintiff seeks an award for all unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees, costs and interest and any further relief to which she may show herself to be justly entitled. She is represented by Michael A. Josephson, Richard M. Schreiber and Andrew Dunlap of Josephson Dunlap in Houston.
