HOUSTON – A Desoto man alleges he was shot while returning to his car at a Houston after-hours strip club.

John Simpson filed a complaint on Aug. 7 in the Harris County District Court against V Live @ Vintage Steakhouse LLC; My D.C. Group Corp., doing business as V Live Houston; Damon Cobbs; David Greenberg; et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Aug. 6, 2015, he left V Live and returned to his car when he was approached and shot.

The plaintiff holds V Live @ Vintage Steakhouse LLC; My D.C. Group Corp., doing business as V Live Houston; Cobbs; Greenberg; et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to secure the premises and its perimeter and failed to provide adequate security.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by Tony J. Pradia and Shasta P.C. Benton of The Cox Pradia Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
