YH Industries Inc. alleges former salesperson started competing company

Contract 07

HOUSTON – A marine supplies company alleges a former salesperson caused it to lose business when he started a competing company.

YH Industries Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in the Harris County District Court against Pedro Christoval Mendez; Monarch Marine Supply LLC; Hualiang Pang, also known as Brian Pang; and San Bow Star LLC alleging breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, Pang is a former employee and set up his own company, San Bow Star, to compete with plaintiff. The suit states Pang purchased goods through Monarch Marine Supply from the plaintiff and fraudulently misrepresented to the plaintiff's customers that he was acting on the plaintiff's behalf when offering goods from San Bow Star.

The plaintiff also alleges that Monarch Marine Supply failed to pay for invoices totaling $55,288.47. Mendez is the managing member of Monarch Marine Supply, the suit states.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and all other general and special relief. It is represented by David J. Sadegh of Ohyan Law Group in Houston.
