ExxonMobil Oil Corp., others named in suit by man who alleges he was injured by asbestos exposure

HOUSTON – A man alleges he was diagnosed with mesothelioma because of exposure to asbestos.

Dario Talamantes Jr. and Ginny Talamantes filed a complaint on Aug. 11 in the Harris County Circuit Court against ExxonMobil Oil Corp., BAE Systems Resolution Inc., Atlantic Richfield Co., et al. alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that, as a result of Dario Talamantes Jr.'s exposure to asbestos-containing products, he developed mesothelioma. The suit states Dario Talamantes Jr.'s exposure was the result of asbestos-containing products and machinery manufactured or sold by the defendants.

The plaintiffs holds ExxonMobil Oil Corp., BAE Systems Resolution Inc., Atlantic Richfield Co., et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly knew or should have known that the insulation or machinery that manufactured, sold or designed was poisonous and harmful to human health.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants, jointly and severally, for all damages, costs and disbursements, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other lawful and equitable relief. They are represented by Ian P. Cloud of Robins Cloud LLP in Houston.
