Kyle's Towing and Recovery claims accident in Beaumont caused downtime for truck

Car accident 24

BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County towing business is seeking damages from a Beaumont taxi service after a collision in Beaumont.

Kyle's Towing and Recovery filed a complaint on Aug. 11 in the Jefferson County District Court against La Uno Taxi and Limousine Service and Leslie Martin Premo alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Feb 2, plaintiff's tow truck was damaged when it was struck by defendant's La Uno's taxi, which was being driven by defendant Premo. The plaintiff alleges it experienced downtime for the loss of use of its tow truck.

The plaintiff holds La Uno Taxi and Limousine Service and Premo responsible because defendant Premo allegedly failed to be attentive while driving, failed to yield right of way and failed to take evasive actions to avoid collision.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants in an amount within the jurisdictional limits of the court, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other just and proper relief. It is represented by Scott W. Browne of Browne & Browne in Beaumont.
