HOUSTON – A construction worker is seeking damages after he was allegedly injured at a Conroe project because of an unsafe work environment.

Roman Diaz filed a complaint on Aug. 22 in the Harris County District Court against Ellison Steel Inc. and Saber Construction Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 29, 2015, he was seriously injured at defendants' construction project when sheets of metal struck him and threw him to the ground. He alleges he has suffered medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering and mental anguish.

The plaintiff holds Ellison Steel Inc. and Saber Constructions Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to implement proper safety measures for work conducted and failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous conditions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Dominic M.V. Braus and Ryan A. Luna of The Carlson Law Firm PC in Waco.
