Umphrey Family Limited Partnership alleges it is still owed more than $199,000 for loan

BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County partnership alleges that it has not been paid in full for a loan.

Umphrey Family Limited Partnership filed a complaint on Aug. 16 in the Jefferson County District Court against JT, Bruns & Crow LLC, Jolyne Thompson, David Crow and Jeffrey Bruns alleging breach of contract and breach of guaranty.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 30, 2014, it loaned defendants the principal amount of $300,000. As of the date of this complaint, the amount of $199,773.17 allegedly remains due and owing. 

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and any further relief to which plaintiff may show itself justly entitled. It is represented by Zona Jones of Harrison Davis Steakley Morrison Jones PC in Beaumont.
