Medical malpractice 07

HOUSTON – A surviving spouse alleges a Houston nursing home did not provide acceptable standards of health care or health care safety.

Willie Mae Bolar, executor of the estate of Charlie Jackson Bolar, deceased filed a complaint on Sept. 1 in the Harris County District Court against SSC Houston Cypress Wood Operating Co. LLC, doing business as Cypresswood Health and Rehabilitation Center, alleging negligence and negligent hiring.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that as a result of defendant's neglectful treatment, Charlie Jackson Bolar sustained acute femoral neck fracture in August 2015.

The plaintiff holds SSC Houston Cypress Wood Operating Co. LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to implement preventive interventions to prevent injuries to the decedent and failed to provide an environment that enhanced the decedent's quality of life.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she is entitled to receive. She is represented by Angela Spears and Marian S. Rosen of Rosen & Spears in Houston.
