SHERMAN – A Lewisville woman is seeking damages over alleged injuries and property damages after a collision on Highway 75.

Earlene Abram filed a complaint on Sept. 8 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against NR 1 Transport Inc. and Ruslan Yuskeveyeh alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 27, 2016, she was driving on U.S. Highway 75 in Melissa when Yuskeveyeh, an employee of NR 1 operating a Freightliner tractor-trailer, changed lines and struck the plaintiff. She alleges she sustained personal injuries and property damage in excess of $1.5 million. She claims she has suffered and will continue to suffer medical-related expenses, mental anguish and loss of earning capacity.

The plaintiff holds NR 1 Transport Inc. and Yuskeveyeh responsible because defendant Yuskeveyeh allegedly failed to keep a careful lookout, failed to yield to the right of way and negligently changed lanes when it was unsafe to do so.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for all of her damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other general and special relief. She is represented by Ted B. Lyon Jr. and Dennis Weitzel of Ted B. Lyon & Associates PC in Mesquite.
