Los Cucos Mexican Cafe manager seeks more than $200,000 over alleged injuries

HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges he was injured in the course of his duties as a manager of a restaurant.

Jose Martinez filed a complaint on Sept. 13 in the Harris County District Court against Los Cucos Mexican Cafe Inc. and Los Cucos Mexican Cafe XXVI Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 17, 2016, he was seriously injured while performing work as a manager for the defendants' restaurant. He alleges he has suffered mental anguish, physical impairment, loss of earning capacity, disability and medical expenses. 

The plaintiff holds Los Cucos Mexican Cafe Inc. and Los Cucos Mexican Cafe XXVI Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide proper tools and safety equipment and failed to implement proper policies and procedures to make the worksite reasonably safe.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Cristobal M. Galindo and Brandon D. Morris of Cristobal M. Galindo PC in Houston.
