GALVESTON – A property owner is seeking a restraining order against a Galveston County man who alleges he owns property the plaintiff claims it owns.

Star Harbor Resorts LLC filed a complaint on Sept. 20 in the Galveston County District Court against Larry Womack alleging conversion, tortious interference and trespass.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff owns real property and fixtures in Clear Lake Shores, which includes gangways, pilings, floating docks, an office barge and more. The suit states the plaintiff purchased the property in April.

The suit states Womack now claims he owns the office barge, floating docks, pilings and gangways and has "threatened" to remove them, but the plaintiff alleges he has not produced documentation that he owns it.

The plaintiff seeks temporary restraining order against defendant from removing or destroying the gangways, pilings, utility supply lines, office barge and floating docks; damages of at least $100,000; attorneys’ fees; costs and interest and such other lawful and equitable relief. It is represented by Lisa M. Norman and Christopher J. Love of Andrews Myers PC in Houston.
