HOUSTON – An African-American real estate agent in the Houston metro area alleges that she was damaged by a Florida-based company's discriminatory practices.

Rhonda Hicks filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Concierge Auctions LLC alleging discrimination.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that as a result of defendant's discriminatory practices, she has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions.

The plaintiff holds Concierge Auctions LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly discriminated against her and refused to renew her contract because of her race, attempted to use her proprietary information for its own benefit and refused to pay her full commissions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and exemplary damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Joseph D. Sibley of Camara & Sibley LLP in Houston.
