HOUSTON – A woman alleges she was injured at a Houston supermarket after she slipped on soapy water.

Lien Vu filed a complaint on Sept. 26 in the Harris County District Court against Tawa Supermarket Inc. and Nationwide Cleaning Service Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 21, 2016, she sustained serious injuries when slipped and fell on soapy water from a mop bucket while shopping at Tawa Supermarket's 99 Ranch Market. The suit states Nationwide Cleaning was responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the premises.

The plaintiff holds Tawa Supermarket Inc. and Nationwide Cleaning Service Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to ensure that the premises was not dangerous for invitees and failed to provide adequate warnings that the floor was wet, damp or slippery.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other relief to which she may show herself justly entitled. She is represented by Joshua R. Leske of Husain Law + Associates PC in Houston.
