BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County woman alleges she was not paid for all hours she worked for a staffing company doing cleanup from Hurricane Harvey.

Robin Scott, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on Sept. 27 in the Beaumont Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Coastal Staffing Services LLC, Brett J. Feldes, Charles P. Clayton, Stoney Courville and Lori Morrison alleging that the employers violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by Coastal Staffing for 10 days in September for temporary disaster cleanup after Hurricane Harvey. She alleges that she worked for 12 or more hours per day, seven days per week without receiving regular and overtime wages for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

The plaintiff holds Coastal Staffing Services LLC, Feldes, Clayton, Courville and Morrison responsible because the defendantS allegedly failed to pay a minimum wage and failed to pay overtime pay.

The plaintiff seeks an order allowing this action to proceed as a collective action, award for all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees, costs and such other and further relief to which they are justly entitled. She is represented by Melissa Moore, Curt Hesse and Bridget Davidson of Moore & Associates in Houston.
