Tarp Depot Inc. alleges former employee violated agreement

HOUSTON – A Texas company that manufactures and designs tarps and other equipment claims that a Baytown man is interfering with its contracts and customer/supplier relationships.

The Tarp Depot Inc. filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the Harris County District Court against Everett Tevy alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the defendant was formerly employed by the plaintiff from August 2016 until July. The plaintiff alleges that it recently discovered the defendant is working for its largest competitor, Maxbox Supplies, and has solicited some of the plaintiff's suppliers on Maxbox's behalf. The plaintiff alleges these actions are in violation of the agreement the defendant signed.

The plaintiff seeks a temporary restraining order and permanent injunction against the defendant, disgorgement of plaintiff's compensation to defendant while he was in breach of his fiduciary duty, punitive and exemplary damages, costs and expenses and such other just and proper relief.
