Man alleges Tech Mahindra (Americas) terminated him because of disabilties

SHERMAN – A New Jersey man alleges his Plano-headquartered employer discriminated against him because of his disabilities.

Dharmendra Kumar filed a complaint on Oct. 18 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Tech Mahindra (Americas) Inc. alleging citing the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, plaintiff has an anxiety disorder, hypertension and diabetes. He alleges that after he informed his supervisor about the disability, his workload "substantially" increased. The plaintiff alleges that, on July 13, 2015, he was fired for refusing to relocate to India. He alleges he was terminated on account of his disabilities.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual, punitive and liquidated damages, attorney's fees, costs and expenses and such other and further relief. He is represented by Robert J. Wiley and Austin P. Campbell of Law Office of Rob Wiley PC in Dallas.
