Silverleaf Seaside Resort guest alleges wrist injury after slip and fall

Slip01

GALVESTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was injured in a fall at a Galveston resort.

Cecilia Wilson filed a complaint on Oct. 19 in the Galveston County District Court against Silverleaf Resorts Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 17, 2015, she was seriously injured when she slipped in a puddle of water inside of an elevator at defendant's Silverleaf Seaside Resort. She alleges she broke her wrist in the fall caused by the water.

The plaintiff holds Silverleaf Resorts Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make a dangerous condition reasonably safe and failed to provide warning of the existence of such condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief less than $100,000 and such other just and proper relief. She is represented by Alex W. Horton of The Krist Law Firm PC in Houston.
