HOUSTON – A Dallas County woman alleges she was injured at a Princeton fast food restaurant because of a floor mat.

Jane Homolka filed a complaint on Oct. 20 in the Harris County District Court against McDonald's Restaurant of Texas Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 1, 2016, she was injured while entering defendant's McDonald's restaurant when her foot got caught on a damaged floor mat, causing her to fall forward onto her knees. She alleges she sustained severe injuries that caused her to undergo a total knee replacement.

The plaintiff holds McDonald's Restaurant of Texas Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect the premises to discover any dangerous condition and failed to warn guests of the existence of such condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other general and special relief. She is represented by Andrew N. Soule of Fishman Jackson Ronquillo PLLC in Dallas.
