Law money 01

HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she is owed unpaid overtime compensation from her former employers.

Ana Portillo, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on Dec. 1, 2017, in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Dollar Fiesta LLC, Madison Enterprises LLC, Super Dollar LLC and Karim Nooruddin alleging that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was employed by the defendants at Super Dollar and Fiesta Dollar locations in Houston as a cashier for eight months. She alleges she regularly worked more than 72 hours per week.

The plaintiff holds Dollar Fiesta LLC, Madison Enterprises LLC, Super Dollar LLC and Nooruddin responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay her an hourly rate that was the minimum wage and failed to pay overtime pay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order allowing this action to proceed as a collective action, award of all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other and further relief. She is represented by Melissa Moore, Curt Hesse and Bridget Davidson of Moore & Associates in Houston.
