Man alleges he was assaulted at Gaslamp, seeks more than $200,000 in damages

HOUSTON – A Harris County man is seeking damages after he was allegedly assaulted at a Houston bar.

Christian Hipkiss filed a complaint on Dec. 4, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against Land Guardian Inc. and Ayman Jarrah alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the defendants own a bar known as Gaslamp in Houston. The suit states on April 16, 2016, the plaintiff was upon defendants' premises when he was assaulted. As a result, he alleges he suffered physical injuries resulting in pain and suffering, emotional distress, disfigurement, loss earnings and medical expenses. 

The plaintiff holds Land Guardian Inc. and Jarrah responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate security and failed to remove troublemakers from the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief. He is represented by Jordan A. Glaze and Josh Garrett of Glaze Garrett in Gilmer and Vincent Vu of Vu Law Firm in Houston.
