HOUSTON – A woman claims she was injured at a Humble restaurant because of a wet floor.

Brandy Edwards filed a complaint on Dec. 5, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against Cheddar's Casual Cafe Inc., doing business as Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen No. 560 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 9, 2016, she was injured at defendant's restaurant when she slipped and fell on a wet floor near the bathroom. She alleges she suffered severe and permanent injuries resulting in necessary medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss wages.

The plaintiff holds Cheddar's Casual Cafe Inc., doing business as Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen No. 560, responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently allowed the floor to become slippery and failed to provide adequate warning of the existence of an unsafe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000, interest, costs and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by John J. Kahn Jr. and Jennifer H. Kahn of The Kahn Law Firm PC in Pearland.
