HOUSTON – A woman alleges she was injured at Spring Goodwill when an object fell on her foot.

Andrea Ruffen filed a complaint on Dec. 5, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against Goodwill Industries of Houston Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept 2, 2017, she was injured while shopping at defendant's location when a marble top that was leaning against the wall suddenly fell over and landed on her foot. She claims she sustained severe and permanent injury that caused her to suffer pain and suffering, medical expenses, disfigurement and lost earnings.

The plaintiff holds Goodwill Industries of Houston Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect the premises where the dangerous condition existed and failed to inform its guests of the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other and further relief. She is represented by Robert Freed and John Arthur Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
