MARSHALL – A Louisiana man alleges equipment he purchased from a Crockett business was misrepresented.

John Talley filed a complaint on Dec. 22, 2017, in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Long Drilling Co. LLC and Kelton T. Long Jr. alleging that they violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 11, 2017, he purchased a Gardner Denver drilling rig from defendant Long Drilling to drill a water well. He alleges the defendants misrepresented the rig's age and other things to induce him to purchase the rig.

The plaintiff seeks damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, expenses and costs and such other relief that are just and proper. He is represented by Michael E. Starr of Coghlan Crowson LLP in Longview.
