99 Cents Only Stores customer seeks damages after fall in store

Slip01

HOUSTON – A Pasadena man alleges he was injured while shopping at a store in the city because of its failure to warn of water on the floor.

Ruben Rosales filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the Harris County District Court against 99 Cents Only Stores alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 23, 2017, he was injured at defendant's Pasadena store when he slipped and fell on a puddle of water. He alleges he sustained injuries to his shoulder, neck, knees and back and was forced to seek medical treatment.

The plaintiff holds 99 Cents Only Stores responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently allowed a dangerous condition to exist on the premises and failed to warn its customers of its presence.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and all other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Randall Deputy in Houston.
