Woman seeks damages from New Century International Wholesale over Marshall collision

MARSHALL – A Carthage woman alleges the employee of a Georgia corporation negligently caused a collision in Marshall.

April Riley filed a complaint on Jan. 4 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against New Century International Wholesale Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 1, 2017, she sustained severe and debilitating injuries when New Century International Wholesale Inc. employee George Yu negligently collided with the plaintiff's vehicle when he unsafely changed lanes. The suit states the collision occurred on East End Boulevard in Marshall.

She alleges she suffered injuries that resulted in physical pain and mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of earnings and loss of earning capacity. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual, economic and compensatory damages, pre- and post-judgment interest and any further relief as she may be entitled to receive. She is represented by Chad F. Newman of Eskine & McMahon LLP in Longview.
