HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he was bitten by a pit bull while riding his bike in a Spring neighborhood.
George Anderson filed a complaint on Jan. 16 in the Harris County District Court against Maurice Gassiott, individually and doing business as Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation, and Pi-Hai Sun alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 9, 2017, he was riding his bike when an unconfined pit bull attacked him, biting his leg. He alleges the dog was at Sun's property and was owned and under the control of Gassiott.
He alleges he sustained injuries that caused him to suffer necessary medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and physical impairment.
The plaintiff holds Gassiott, individually and doing business as Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation, and Sun responsible because despite their awareness of the violent nature of the dogs, they allowed the dogs to remain in the property and failed to take reasonable steps to maintain the dogs in their confinements.
The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Adam P. Criaco of Criaco & Associates in Houston.
