Nurse alleges The Board of Regents of the University of Texas System terminated him without due process

Contract 05

HOUSTON – A registered nurse alleges he was terminated from his employment without an opportunity to respond to allegations made against him.

Reynaldo Colindres filed a complaint on Jan. 19 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against The Board of Regents of the University of Texas System alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant as a nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He alleges he was terminated under an allegation that a heparin drip was connected directly to a line in a patient.

The plaintiff holds The Board of Regents of the University of Texas System responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to comply with the terms and conditions of his employment agreement and terminated his employment without due process.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general, special and exemplary damages, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Stephen E. Menn of Law office of Stephen E. Menn in Houston.
